January has a way of inviting us to take a breath and reset. New calendars, clean pages, fresh starts. It’s when goals feel possible again—not because we suddenly become different people, but because we give ourselves permission to begin.
From a business standpoint, this year is about intentional growth for me. Personally, I’m focused on right-sizing—my time, my commitments, and yes, even my space. At the brokerage level, my goal is to build smarter, not louder: better systems, better education, and a continued focus on serving our community well. Growth doesn’t always mean bigger. Sometimes it means better aligned.
Homeownership continues to be a goal I believe deeply in—not as a pressure or a timeline, but as a tool. A home can be a foundation for stability, creativity, and long-term financial security. The best way to attain that goal? Start where you are. Learn what’s possible, ask good questions, and make decisions that fit your season of life. There is no one-size-fits-all path, and that’s okay.
Right-sizing plays into this more than people realize. Bigger isn’t always better. Sometimes the right move is less maintenance, lower stress, or a space that truly supports how you live today—not five years ago. I’m walking that road myself, which makes these conversations with clients even more meaningful.
And then there’s my favorite kind of goal—the slightly sideways one. I saw a video recently about ditching perfect resolutions and resolving instead to be “a bit of a menace.” Not in a bad way… more like a joyful troublemaker. The kind who spreads laughter, lightness, and unexpected kindness.
So maybe this year, alongside the serious goals, we resolve to bring more fun into the world. More joy. More connection. More smiles where people least expect them.
Fresh starts don’t have to be so big. Sometimes, they’re meant to be shared.
